About Us
Royalview Elementary School is located twenty miles northeast of Cleveland. The community that comprises our attendance area is the City of Willowick. There are currently 880 students attending Royalview.
The physical setting is 50 years old and has had one major addition to house an enrollment increase in the late 1960's. At that time major modifications were made to make the building more accessible to students with disabilities. Connected to our facility is Willowick Middle School. This close proximity has allowed us to provide our students with enhanced opportunities such as smoother transitions from grade five to grade six and the use of older students as tutors.
Royalview is in a school system rich in tradition that revolves around communities whose spirit is durable, whose sense of pride is intense, and whose people genuinely care about each other. Our educational climate is one to boast about. Royalview received National Blue Ribbon School recognition in 1997. Staff members, students, our PTA, and parents work collaboratively to accomplish our school goals. Royalview focuses on meeting the needs of all students by fostering in them a desire to achieve to the fullest extent of their abilities.
Another contributing factor to our excellent school climate is that we effectively integrate students with disabilities into our student body. Royalview serves as a site for children with disabilities from neighboring school districts. Our dedicated administration and teaching staff have enriched the education of all students involved by including students with disabilities in all facets of school life.
Here at Royalview, academic excellence and a well rounded education are not an accident. Persistence, insistence on quality, and plain hard work have made us the great school we are today!
