Dear Students, Parents, and Guardians,

I am delighted to welcome you all to our vibrant and diverse middle school community! As the principal of this wonderful institution, I am honored to lead a team of dedicated educators who are committed to nurturing the academic and emotional growth of each and every student.

At Willoughby Middle School, we believe that every child possesses unique talents, interests, and potential. Our mission is to create a safe and supportive environment that empowers students to explore their passions, develop critical thinking skills, and become lifelong learners. 

In an effort to help everyone in our school maximize their potential, we constantly ask our staff and students to engage in behaviors that represent our school’s four educational core values:

Get Better- This mindset means we strive to learn from our mistakes, to be coachable, and to try and improve every day.

Relationships First- Behaviors that reflect this core value include greeting people, truly listening to one another, and demonstrating mutual respect.

Own It- This means we strive to step up and admit when we are wrong, own our attitude, words, and actions, and avoid BCD (blame, complain, defend) at all costs.

We, Not Me- Behaviors that reflect this value include having belief in others, respecting differences, and talking to people, not about people.

Our passionate teaching staff is dedicated to providing a well-rounded education that promotes both academic excellence and personal development. We offer a rigorous curriculum that is designed to challenge students intellectually while also promoting creativity, problem-solving, and innovation. We aim to equip our students with the necessary skills and knowledge to succeed not only in their academic pursuits but also in their future endeavors.

Communication and partnership between the school, parents, and the community are vital for the success of our students. We value open lines of communication and encourage parents and guardians to actively engage with our school community. We are incredibly grateful for all the support our Warrior Families PTO has shown our entire school and community. Our dedicated staff is also always available to address any concerns or questions you may have.
