Mrs. Allison Aber, Principal

Dear Longfellow Families,

I am honored to serve as principal of Longfellow Elementary School. Longfellow is a MIGHTY school community filled with amazing students, dedicated staff, and a supportive family community. We work hard everyday to improve student achievement, our district’s mission. We do this by providing quality instruction, maximizing time on task, and putting students first. We are also very excited to be in the planning stages for a new Longfellow, expected to open in the fall of 2019!

Our MIGHTY Mustangs are just that-MIGHTY! Ask any student what it means and they will proudly tell you “I am Motivated. I am In control. I have Good manners. I am Honest, I am a Team player. I am all of these things because You and I Matter!” Our MIGHTY Mustang program is focused on teaching and reinforcing positive behavior, character traits, social skills.

As an educator and a parent myself, I understand the vital role that family plays in a child’s education, and I want to encourage you to be an active participant in the education process for your child. When administrators, teachers, parents and students work together, success in learning and achievement will follow. The easiest and most important step toward this end is through effective communication. Please do not hesitate to communicate your concerns, ideas, or suggestions with me or anyone on our staff.

In an effort to save paper, we will utilize e-communication for school newsletters. Please sign up to receive the Mustang Memo via text or email. If you do not have internet or texting access, please notify your child’s teacher and a paper copy will be sent home. You can find directions for subscribing and past news by clicking on our Newsletter link.

All in all, I am thrilled to be a part of Longfellow’s tradition of excellence, and I will continue to work hard ensure continued growth and achievement.
