Willoughby South Boosters receives donations in honor of Mr. Wayne Trubiano

The Willoughby South Booster Club would like to extend its heartfelt condolences to the family of Wayne Trubiano. His sudden passing last week has left a hole in the community.

The Willoughby South Boosters Club is honored to receive donations in honor of longtime Booster Mr. Wayne Trubiano at the request of his family. These donations will be used to provide Athletic Scholarships to the student athletes of South High School.

Mr. Trubiano was a very strong supporter of South Athletics, and was named Booster of the Year in 2003. We are pleased to be able to continue his support of South athletes.

Wayne A. Trubiano (1936 - 2013)

Funeral Mass for Wayne A. Trubiano, 77, of Willoughby, will be 9:30 a.m. Monday at St. John Vianney Church, 7575 Bellflower Road, Mentor. Mr. Trubiano passed away Thursday, Nov. 7, 2013, at Lake Health West Medical Center in Willoughby. Born June 9, 1936, in Cleveland, he had been a Lake County resident for the past 45 years, living in Willoughby. Wayne was a member of Immaculate Conception Church in Willoughby. He was a very active Willoughby South High Booster, a 2003 Booster of the Year, and a proud member of the Garfield Heights Hall of Fame. Wayne served in the U.S. Army Reserves. He was very proud of his family and enjoyed being with his grandchildren and loved watching them play sports. Mr. Trubiano was the C.E.O. of Willo Security and Dependable Cleaning companies.

Survivors are his wife of 57 years, Grace M. (nee Zelasko) Trubiano; loving father of Kim L. (Raymond) DiSanto of Stow, Kathy A. (George) Bottini of East Lyme, Conn., Mike J. (Terry) Trubiano of Hilliard, Marty H. (Jackie) Trubiano of Mentor, Mark A. (Diane) Trubiano of Kirtland and Kara L. (Ben) Reutter of Concord Township; grandfather of 19; great-grandfather of one; and uncle of many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry S. and Fanny (nee Mancini) Trubiano; sister, Joyce Sluka; and brother-in-law, Al Sluka. Friends may call from 1 to 8 p.m. Sunday at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 6330 Center St. (Route 615, north of Route 2), Mentor. Burial will be in All Souls Cemetery in Chardon Township.The family suggests contributions in his name be made to Willoughby South High Boosters for Athletic Scholarships.
