EMPTY BOWLS PROJECT

EMPTY BOWLS PROJECT

On the evening of Tuesday, April 5th, students and staff from the district volunteered to glaze bowls for the Empty Bowls Project currently in preparation phases at North High.  The Empty Bowls Project will be hosted by North High on April 22nd, from 5-7 pm.  The focus of the charity is to raise money and awareness about hunger.  North High is partnering with South, Brush, Kenston, West Geauga, Chardon and Riverside and making 300 ceramic soup bowls to be used at community dinner. They will be serving soup donated by Dino’s, Local Tavern, Flavors on the Vine, Trader Jacks, TJ’s on the Avenue, Papa Joes, The Cabin, Two Bucks, Winking Lizard, The Willoughby Brewing Company, and our very own Willoughby-Eastlake district chef. Bread will also be served at the event donated by Cleveland’s Orlando Bread Company. For a small donation of $10, you can eat dinner and keep the bowl when you leave. To sign up for this event, go to http://nicolestaunton.weebly.com/. All donations will go to local area food banks.
