Breda Loncar School for Success

Willoughby-Eastlake is pleased to announce the dedication of the Breda Loncar School for Success located at the Northern Career Institute, Willoughby campus.

Mrs. Loncar began her tenure in Willoughby-Eastlake City Schools in 1984 and held numerous positions throughout the district until her retirement in 2009. Breda worked tirelessly while employed in the district and dedicated herself completely to the betterment of the students that she served. While working in the district, she served initially as a French and English teacher and moved into the position of Assistant Principal at North High School. She later served as the Principal of North High School and finally as the Director of Curriculum until her retirement.

Throughout her career in the district, Mrs. Loncar took great care to meet the needs of all students. Perhaps most notable among her efforts was the initiation of the Bridge to Success program. Students enrolled in Bridge to Success earn high school credits in a non-traditional classroom. Many students, who might not have done so otherwise, have been able to graduate because of Mrs. Loncar's innovation.
