NESS 2020

NESS 2020

Important NESS Information

Good morning Laker families,

I hope this message finds you all well and enjoying the sunshine!  As you all know, the NESS dance has been an important part of the Eastlake Middle School culture for many years.  Students who participate work very hard collecting donations from family and friends.  Students and staff put many hours into planning this event that touches the hearts of so many.  Due to COVID-19 and the state of the Country over the past year, we were unable to hold our NESS dance during the 2019-2020 school year.  We were very hopeful that NESS would happen during the 2020-2021 school year but unfortunately we are still at a point where we cannot have this large gathering.  With that being said, we are making a final call for anyone who donated money that would possibly like a refund.  That request will need to be made by April 23, 2021.  We know that the donations collected by your student were done with the understanding that it would all be donated to various Autism charities.  At this time, we will be donating the 2019-2020 NESS monies to their designated organizations.  The following organizations will be benefiting from your child's efforts:  Kent State Autism Program, Footprints, Share-A-Vision and Autism Speaks.

Please know,  even though the event did not happen, the monies raised by your child will go a long way to benefit others.

Eastlake Middle is very proud of all of our students and staff and we hope that NESS can return to EMS one day.

As always, thank you Lakers!

Dr. Colleen Blaurock, EMS Principal
