Career Pathways and Programs

Willoughby-Eastlake City Schools is committed to preparing students for success in college, career, and life. Through innovative programs and strategic partnerships, we provide students with hands-on experiences and real-world skills that align with the demands of today's workforce.

Career and Technical Education (CTE)

Our CTE programs offer students in grades 11 and 12 the opportunity to build skills in a number of different career pathways and fields. These programs are designed to equip students with practical skills, college credit and industry certifications, enhancing their readiness for post-secondary education or immediate entry into the workforce. Our goal is to ensure every program offers multiple pathways, including direct entry into the workforce, two-year degree opportunities, and four-year college options.

Tiered Approach to Career-Connected Learning

We believe early exposure to careers is essential. Through a tiered approach to career-connected learning, students in grades 7–10 explore a wide range of career fields, build foundational skills, and discover their aptitudes and interests, helping them make informed decisions about their future pathways.

WE Build Program

The WE Build program is a hands-on construction and manufacturing initiative that allows students to engage directly with building projects, developing skills in carpentry, design, and project management. By participating in real-world construction tasks, students gain valuable experience that prepares them for careers in the skilled trades.

Cybersecurity Program

In response to the growing demand for cybersecurity professionals, we are excited to launch our Cybersecurity Program. This program will provide students with knowledge and skills in protecting digital infrastructure, preparing them for careers in one of the fastest-growing sectors of the technology industry.
