Today, during 7th and 8th period will be the Staff-Student Volleyball Game and Pie-a-Teacher event! You have until 7th period to pay your 7th period teacher $2.00 to attend the event. Students who do not pay to attend will go to study hall with Miss Elias in room 50 along with our study hall monitors today. This year, Student Council voted to raise money to be donated to the Red Cross for disaster relief following all of the hurricanes and fires that have been so destructive this year!  All of the pie-a-teacher money raised will be donated, along with half of the proceeds of the Volleyball Game!  Thanks for your generosity in donating to this event!

Watch the 7th grade girls volleyball take on the 8th grade boys basketball team! Winner plays the staff team! While this is going on, we will draw names for the Hula-hoop contest! Last, but not least is the Pie-A-Teacher event- we have 21 teachers taking a pie for charity this year!

Service hours MUST be turned in by next Thursday, Nov. 30.

Pay attention WMS students because here is your chance to help families in need this holiday season as well as win a free large pizza!   We are starting our annual Salvation Army stocking stuffer drive when we return from Thanksgiving break and this is a great way for kids your age to give back to our local community.   Last year, the amazing Willoughby Warriors donated over 1,000 items to this cause!

This is one of the easiest ways to do something nice for others.  All you have to do is donate  school supplies or toiletries to the stage in the morning.  What are toiletries you ask?  Toiletries include toothpaste, toothbrushes, deodorant, body wash, body spray, hairspray, shampoo, lotion, conditioner,- you know….bathroom stuff!  Remember, when you come into school in the morning, donate your items on the stage.  Every 5 items wins you an entry to win the pizza.  We will draw a name for a winner in every grade level and then it’s up to you to enjoy the pizza!!!   Collections will begin on the day we return from Thanksgiving break, and run from November 28th  through December 6th.

Attention all 7th grade girls who are interested in playing basketball.  Tryout forms are available for pickup in Room 6 from Miss Rogers.  You must have a form filled out and returned to Miss Rogers by December 6th if you wish to try out.  Tryouts are on December 8th, 11th, and 12th from 6:45-8:00 AM. You must have a physical completed in order to tryout.
