TENNIS
Any 7th or 8th grade boy or girl who is interested in playing tennis this year should see Coach Persing in room 37 or Coach Franczek in room 15 sometime during the day to sign and pick up the information packet.

   
 

PTO SKATING PARTY
Attention WMS Students: Be sure to come to the WMS PTO skating party at United Skates of America tomorrow from 6:00-8:30 p.m. This event is for the whole family. Admission is only $3.00 and we are having a slime glow skate!! There will be drawings to win 2 free birthday parties and also 1,000 game tickets! We hope to see everyone at the WMS PTO skating party at United Skates.

   
 

POWER OF THE PEN
Tomorrow, February 23, the 7 members of the WMS Power of the Pen team who have qualified for the Regional tournament will be competing at Kent State University. The region is comprised of 38 schools. Those who will be competing are: Grade 8: Emily Butler, Briana Campbell, Sydney Meyenburg and Taylor Sanderson; Grade 7: Alexandra Hay, Dakota Schaum, Chole Stossel. Also attending as runners are: Ilene Miller, Skyler Cohen, Gabriella DeVecchio, Emma Pushey, Izzy Vcha, and Emilee Figueroa. Good luck to the writers from all of us at WMS!!!!

   
 

8TH GRADE GIRLS BASKETBALL
Last night the 8th grade girls’ finished up their regular season by defeating last year’s tournament champions Madison by a score of 34 to 20. Proving that the team was not just one player, scoring was led by Boots McMullen 12 points and Sydney Farinacci 10 points. Also scoring was Emma McCue 6 points, Kailey Minch 4 points, and Amiya Latham 2 points. The team finished up the regular season at 13 and 2 which tied them for first place in the WRC conference. The team is next in action on Wednesday when they open up tournament play at home against Eastlake. Great win 8th graders.
