Clubs and Activities

Welcome to Willoughby Middle School!
Willoughby Middle is a learning community. We believe that students can learn a great deal both in the classroom and as an active member of the WMS student body.  Involvement in school clubs and extracurriculars has many benefits - including the development of essential life skills, expansion of friendships, and closer connection to our community.
Here are some of our current club offerings:

Art Club -  Art Club is a place for students who are looking to work on their artistic skills, develop new techniques, collaborate, and develop new relationships through art. Students will learn through group projects and will create individual "make and take" projects as well as community-based projects.  Students meet monthly.  If interested, please contact Mrs. Schoeppler or Ms. Frederick for more information.

Board Game ClubWMS Board Game Club is a great way for students to de-stress in a comfortable, non-technology-based environment.  Students meet once a week to play a variety of board and card games.  This allows students an opportunity to meet new friends, relax, and socialize with students who share common interests.  If interested, please contact Mrs. Booth for more information.

MakerSpace Club  Makers Club is a space where students are able to express their creativity while exploring the world of STEM!  Activities may include: Design Challenges, 3D Design and Printing, Vinyl Design and Cutting, Robotics, and Electronics and Engineering. Students meet every Monday after school!  If interested in joining please contact Ms. Ivy.

Student Council - Student council is comprised of students who are interested in getting involved in their school.  Students and staff work together for the betterment of WMS and the community.  Student Council plans spirit weeks, food drives, promotes school-wide initiatives, and seeks ways to create a positive culture at WMS.  Students meet monthly.  Please contact Mrs. Bevan or Mrs. Stahlberg if interested.

WMS Spirit Club -  If you enjoy going to school events, cheering on your classmates, and showing your "Warrior Pride," then the WMS Spirit Club is looking for you!  Students meet to create themes for events, help to create a positive school culture, and come together to show support of their fellow Warriors. Please contact Mrs. Pellegrini, if interested. *Go Warriors!*
