We are excited to share with you the details of our new school schedule for the upcoming year (this will begin on Wednesday)! To better support our students’ learning and provide our teachers with valuable planning time, we have adopted an A-F day rotation system. Here’s how the new schedule will work:A-F Days Rotation: Each day of the school cycle will be designated as A, B, C, D, E, or F. Students will attend their related arts classes (such as gym, music, and STEAM) two times within this six-day rotation.Related Arts Classes: On each of their assigned days, students will go to three related arts classes back-to-back. This will provide a dynamic and engaging learning experience, allowing students to immerse themselves in a variety of subjects on the same day.Grade-Specific Days:A/D Days: Kindergarten and fifth grade will attend related arts.B/E Days: First and fourth grades will attend related arts.C/F Days: Second and third grades will attend related arts. This schedule has been carefully designed to provide several benefits:Dedicated Planning Time: While students are engaged in their related arts classes, our teachers will have a two-hour block of time for collaborative planning, reviewing student data, and developing strategies to meet the diverse needs of our students. This uninterrupted planning time is crucial for enhancing the quality of instruction and ensuring that every child receives the support they need to succeed.Enriched Learning Experiences: By having students attend three related arts classes consecutively, we aim to create a more focused and immersive environment where students can fully engage with each subject. This structure also allows students to build connections between different areas of learning, fostering a well-rounded educational experience. We believe this new schedule will greatly benefit both our students and our teachers. Please note that the A-F day rotation will be communicated regularly to ensure that everyone is aware of which day it is in the cycle.Thank you for your continued support and cooperation as we implement these changes. We are committed to providing the best possible education for your child and look forward to an exciting and productive school year.If you have any questions or concerns about the new schedule, please do not hesitate to reach out to us.
