What is needed to sub as a teacher:
- A high school diploma
- BCI/FBI Background Check (administered at the Board of Education $47.25 fee)
- Apply through the ODE for a sub license ($25) which takes approximately 7-14 days to be issued
Pay: $125 a day

What is needed to sub as a secretary:
- High school diploma
- Placement test administered through Willoughby-Eastlake School District
- BCI/FBI Background Check (administered at the Board of Education $47.25 fee)

What is needed to sub as a paraprofessional: The Ohio Department of Education requires a one-year Educational Aide ESEA Qualified permit ($25.00 online fee), BCI/FBI Background Check (administered at the Board of Education $47.25 fee), AND ONE of the following:
- Hold an Associate's Degree or higher from an accredited college or university
- Have completed at least 48 semester hours or 72 quarter hours at an accredited college or university
- Have passed the ParaPro Assessment Test (through the HR department) and have a high school diploma
